What We Do
At Rights4Girls, we work to make the lives of young women and girls a human rights priority by:
- Empowering girls and survivors to become agents of change
- Educating lawmakers and advocating for policy reforms that center the needs of marginalized girls
- Providing training and technical assistance to judges, systems professionals and service providers
- Launching public awareness campaigns that shift the narrative around girls impacted by violence
- Conducting ground-breaking research and producing innovative reports
- Building partnerships with other youth-serving organizations and non-traditional allies to create a movement for girls’ rights
Gender-Based Violence
We advocate for policies that provide young women and girls with safety, justice and the support needed to heal from trauma.
Youth Justice
We work to dismantle the Abuse to Prison Pipeline and promote decarceration efforts for young women and girls currently in the system.
Training and Technical Assistance
We train judges, system professionals and communities on alternatives to detention and centering the needs of vulnerable youth.
Research and Reports
Our innovative research and reports uplift the distinct, and often untold, experiences of marginalized girls and offer solutions to meet their specific needs.
No Such Thing Campaign
Across the country, our No Such Thing campaign is helping to eliminate the notion of “child prostitute” in both language and law.
